Zusammenfassung

Ymca-of-Greater-Houston-bca1a25 is seeking an Afterschool Site Lead to oversee a licensed school-age enrichment program in a Part-Time role at our Houston location. You will ensure safety, support, and engagement for children while coordinating daily operations and implementing YMCA curriculum.

The position requires at least one year of youth-work experience, a GED or high school diploma, and certifications (CPR/First Aid/AED).

Qualifikationen

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED; 70 clock hours of training in child or youth development, recreational leadership or management; two college courses equal 100 clock hours.
• At least one year of experience working with youth in a licensed childcare facility, school, church, or similar setting
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities and programming
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Ability to pass state and local background checks and FBI fingerprinting requirements
• Current TB test and any required health screenings or immunizations per state and local regulations

• Lead and supervise an afterschool program to keep children safe, engaged, and supported.
• Coordinate daily program operations and implement YMCA curriculum.
• Ensure licensing compliance and maintain required records and postings.
• Build strong relationships with families, school partners, and YMCA staff.
• Plan age-appropriate activities and ensure program quality and safety.
