Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking an Afterschool Site Lead to guide a licensed school-age enrichment program in a safe, engaging environment. You will coordinate daily operations, implement YMCA curriculum, and build strong partnerships with families and school staff.

The role requires leadership, planning, and a dedication to youth development, safety, and program quality. A part-time schedule supports before/after school care and campus programming. Program Director supports the site.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED and 70 clock hours in youth development.
• Two college courses equivalent to 100 clock hours are acceptable for qualification.
• CPR/First Aid/AED and child abuse prevention certifications (or ability to obtain) are required.

Responsibilities

• Keep Children Safe by maintaining a physically and emotionally safe environment and proper supervision.
• Site Management as Texas Licensing Site Director; oversee daily afterschool operations and equipment.
• Supervision and Safety including attendance records, incident reports, and compliance documents.
• Behavior Management using positive approaches to promote respect and inclusion.
• Program & Policy Compliance with licensing requirements, safety drills, and health standards.
• Program Planning and Implementation of age-appropriate activities per YMCA curriculum.
• Parent and Community Engagement through regular communication with families and partners.
• Administrative Duties including enrollment and attendance records.
