Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington in Alexandria, VA is seeking a program staff member to support Education, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts, and Physical Education initiatives. You will create a safe environment that fosters youth development, promote participation, mentor members, and collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure high-quality programs.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED.
Experience working with children.
CPR and First Aid certifications (if required).
Knowledge of youth development.
Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
Valid Driver’s License.
Ability to operate recent technology and mobile applications.

Responsibilities

Deliver activities for ages 6–18 in Education, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts, and Physical Education.
Create a safe environment that fosters youth development outcomes.
Promote program participation and maintain a productive branch environment.
Prepare periodic activity reports and participate in weekly staff meetings.
Assist with member registration and event coordination as needed.
