Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Seattle is seeking a Program Supervisor for our Early Education Center. You will lead and develop the center in partnership with the Center Director and Assistant Director, ensuring developmentally appropriate activities are planned and implemented, while supporting staff and volunteers and maintaining licensing compliance.

You will build professional relationships with families and the community, attend staff meetings, and help manage records and events.

Qualifications

• Three years or more of experience working with children ages 0-5 years old.
• Six months or more of supervisory experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent per DCYF requirements.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Pre-employment TB tests and MMR vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Supports planning and implementation of culturally relevant activities within the curriculum.
• Maintains appropriate teacher-to-child ratios during scheduled hours.
• Communicates with families through newsletters and conferences.
• Follows YMCA policies including safety, abuse prevention, and emergency procedures.
• Manages records and supports food program and teaching tools.
• Maintains professional relationships with families and center staff.
• Ensures site supplies and maintains classrooms appearance and cleanliness.
• May supervise children to ensure health and safety.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings; performs other duties as assigned.
