Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Youth Development Leader to inspire children in before and after school as well as day camp programs. This hands-on role involves energetic leadership in activities, ensuring safety, and fostering positive behaviors while building strong relationships with children and families.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Six months of experience working with youth in a licensed facility or similar setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass state/local background checks and fingerprinting.
• TB test and any required immunizations per state/local guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Guide Positive Behavior: Use positive techniques for child growth.
• Lead Fun & Meaningful Activities: Adapt activities for diverse needs.

• Protect Youth: Follow all child-protection policies.
