Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Youth Development Leader to inspire and support children in our before/after-school and day camp programs. This active role involves creating a safe, engaging environment, leading activities, and building meaningful connections with youth and families.

Ideal candidates are at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED, with prior experience working with youth. Join us to make a lasting impact in our community!

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Six months of experience working with youth in a licensed facility, school, church, or similar setting.
• Must obtain CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training.

Responsibilities

• Keep children safe, engaged, and accounted for at all times.
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment using positive behavior-management techniques.
• Lead fun and meaningful activities that support youth learning.
