Job summary

University of Arizona in Willcox, AZ seeks an Extension Assistant II to support and coordinate 4-H youth development programs, outreach to partners, and volunteer engagement. The role assists with county-wide events including the county fair and requires interpreting guidelines and assisting faculty as needed.

Responsibilities include logistics coordination, participant communications, and data tracking for program metrics, with occasional evening/weekend work to support events and youth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Three years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive per University Fleet Safety Policy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver support for Cooperative Extension educational programs, workshops, seminars, and contests.
• Coordinate logistical details for events including room reservations and equipment.
• Communicate schedules and expectations to presenters, staff, and partners.
• Prepare materials and supplies so programs start on time.
• Carry out routine outreach activities to inform local residents about offerings.
• Respond to inquiries about programs, eligibility, and registration.
• Maintain contact lists for participants, volunteers, and partners.
• Provide administrative support for information sessions and community presentations.
