Job summary

BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF MAURY COUNTY in Columbia, Tennessee, is seeking a part-time Youth Program Assistant to deliver hands-on activities for K-12 youth, aligned with three outcomes: academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character.

You will prepare lesson plans, supervise activities, maintain safety, and work with a team to foster mentorship and positive relationships. Typical hours are after school and during summer programs, with pay ranging from $13.00 to $14.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience with children or in youth programs preferred.
• Ability to relate to youth and manage a classroom while keeping activities FUN.
• Strong teamwork, patience, and creativity.
• Punctual and reliable, with dependability for after-school and summer hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on youth programs focused on academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character.
• Prepare youth for success and support program outcomes under supervision.
• Read lesson plans, set up materials, and prepare day-to-day activities.
• Maintain safety and discipline according to policy.
• Oversee special programs or events as needed.
• May drive club van or authorized automobile periodically.
