Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley is seeking a Part-Time Youth Development Associate for Lake City Elementary. You will lead hands-on activities, plan weekly lessons, and foster growth, laughter, and discovery among youth in a supportive team.

The role emphasizes safety, collaboration, and engagement, with responsibilities including meal provisions per USDA standards, volunteer coordination, and participation in staff meetings. 18+ and background checks required.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of youth experience preferred.
• Must pass background checks and drug screening.
• CPR certification offered post-hire.

Responsibilities

• Post weekly plans for parents/guardians and youth.
• Encourage full participation in activities.
• Identify alternate activities to match weekly plans.
• Supervise program areas to ensure safety.
• Attend staff meetings and collaborate with the Club team.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Club.
• Provide meals to youth per USDA standards.
• Discipline youth when needed in a mild manner.
• Supervise youth on school buses.
• Attend programs, field trips, and events.
• Create bulletin boards for youth.
• Orient and oversee volunteers.
• Oversee volunteers serving within the Club.
