Job summary

Boys and Girls Clubs of the Austin Area is seeking a Youth Development Professional to prepare, facilitate, and supervise enrichment activities for youth in Austin. The role focuses on safe, engaging programming and supporting social, emotional, and academic growth.

Responsibilities include assisting with homework, guiding group activities, and maintaining records while upholding a professional, positive role model presence. Part-time hours apply during school year and vacations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Background check, reference check, and drug test required.
• Associate degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
• Spanish or other second language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials for programming.
• Lead activities to support youth development.
• Work with youth individually or in groups.
• Assist with homework during Power Hour.
• Maintain attendance records and supervise youth.
• Provide feedback and encouragement to build confidence.
