Job summary

Paul D. Camp Community College seeks an Out of School Youth Program Specialist to support youth ages 18-24 with career exploration, education pathways, and workforce readiness. The role emphasizes mentorship, ethical conduct, and collaboration with regional partners.

The position is full-time, based at Franklin (City) with a standard Mon-Fri schedule; duties include coordinating activities, programs, and services to help youth progress toward graduation and employment goals.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in social work, counseling, human services, psychology, or equivalent.
• Ability to create a collaborative learning environment and foster positive self-esteem and social responsibility.
• Ability to recruit and market youth programs.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
• Experience in case management and maintaining confidential records.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of local and state support services and agencies.
• Experience planning activities and arranging transportation.
• Excellent oral and written communication with diverse publics.
• Probationary period applies for all new full-time staff.

Responsibilities

• Establish rapport with youth ages 18-24 to support career exploration and postsecondary preparation.
• Help youth graduate from high school on time and prepare for workforce or higher education.
• Model professional and ethical standards and serve as a positive role model.
• Collaborate with Regional Workforce Development staff, local high schools, and community partners.
• Support the mission of Youth Development Programs and adhere to college policies.
• May perform other duties as assigned, including emergency response when needed.
