Qualifications

• Extensive experience in social work, counseling, human services, psychology and/or any equivalent combination of training and/or experience.
• Ability to establish a collaborative, innovative learning environment that encourages participants to develop positive self-esteem and personal and social responsibility.
• Ability to recruit and market programs to youth.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience in case management, determining program eligibility, maintaining accurate and confidential records.
• Ability to interpret and apply policy and procedures to a variety of processes.
• Ability to recognize multicultural perspectives and emphasize the value of cultural diversity.
• Knowledge of local and state support services and agencies.
• Experience planning activities and events, including ordering supplies and arranging transportation.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a diverse public.

Responsibilities

• Establish rapport with youth ages 18-24 to support career exploration and post-secondary preparation.
• Model professional and ethical standards and collaborate with peers, Regional Workforce Development staff, high school personnel and the community.
• Promote and support the mission of Youth Development Programs and adhere to college policies.
• Coordinate with Regional Workforce Development staff and local schools to promote program participation.
