Job summary

The Youth Development Advocate role at YWCA Central Massachusetts in Worcester supports the Youth Development Department by delivering prevention activities, education, and training to program participants. You will assist with Transformations program, Girls Choice Middle, and lead Girls Choice High and Family Fun Fridays.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment.
• Demonstrated public speaking, facilitation, training, and organizational skills.
• Ability to engage youth and professionals.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting middle school and high school girls for programs across the Youth Development Department.
• Maintain engagement related data per participant (intake, pre/post surveys, ongoing data collection).
• Assist in coordinating field trips and transporting program participants.
• Plan and co-facilitate creative activities and interactions focusing on gender stereotypes, boundaries, socialization, and character development.
• Oversee Family Fun Fridays with activities and swimming time.
• Support tabling events during possible weekend availability.
• Perform other duties as requested.
