Job summary

University of Missouri Extension invites applications for an Educational Program Associate I to support 4-H Youth Development programs in Livingston County, MO. The role focuses on planning, managing, and supporting youth development initiatives across local communities.

The position requires an Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience, willingness to travel, and the ability to work some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• An Associate's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and some experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
• Experience in coordinating youth development programs or 4-H program work is preferred
• Ability to travel and work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends is required

Responsibilities

• Advocate for positive youth development in the community and MU Extension.
• Build and expand external local partnerships to grow the 4-H program in the county, including schools, community centers, and other youth-serving organizations.
• Build and expand internal partnerships to grow the 4-H program in the county across UM Colleges and Missouri Extension programs.
• Assist with coordination and planning, management, marketing, implementing (including teaching) and evaluation of curriculum with emphasis on Leadership, Civic Engagement, STEM, Healthy Living, Agriculture and Natural Resources, and career exploration topics.
• Develop leadership capacity among youth.
• Coordinate and/or conduct educational events, contests, camps, and programs utilizing a positive youth development approach.
• Report accomplishments and impacts to supervisor, funders, and stakeholders.
