Job summary

The University of Missouri Office of Extension and Engagement invites applications for an Educational Program Associate I in Newton County (Neosho, MO). You will help plan, manage, and support 4-H Youth Development programs, under supervision of the 4-H Youth Development Specialist/Educator.

The role emphasizes building partnerships, coordinating events, curriculum implementation, volunteer development, and reporting outcomes.

Qualifications

  • An associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
  • Preferred: six hours in PRKC domains for youth development (leadership, civic engagement, STEM, Healthy Living, etc.).
  • Experience in group settings with children may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision and initiative.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for positive youth development in the community and MU Extension.
  • Build external partnerships with schools, community centers, and youth orgs.
  • Coordinate and manage delivery of curricula in Leadership, Civic Engagement, STEM, Healthy Living, and more.
  • Develop volunteers and community partners to support 4-H programs.
  • Plan, conduct, and evaluate educational events, camps, and contests; report outcomes.
