Job summary

The University of Missouri Office of Extension and Engagement invites applications for an Educational Program Associate I in Newton County (Neosho, MO). You will help plan, manage, and support 4-H Youth Development programs, under supervision of the 4-H Youth Development Specialist/Educator.

The role emphasizes building partnerships, coordinating events, curriculum implementation, volunteer development, and reporting outcomes.

Qualifications

An associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
Preferred: six hours in PRKC domains for youth development (leadership, civic engagement, STEM, Healthy Living, etc.).
Experience in group settings with children may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision and initiative.
Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Advocate for positive youth development in the community and MU Extension.
Build external partnerships with schools, community centers, and youth orgs.
Coordinate and manage delivery of curricula in Leadership, Civic Engagement, STEM, Healthy Living, and more.
Develop volunteers and community partners to support 4-H programs.
Plan, conduct, and evaluate educational events, camps, and contests; report outcomes.
