Job summary
The Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) is seeking a collaborative Youth Corrections Unit Coordinator – Case Coordinator at the MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility in Woodburn, OR. This role supports the Living Unit Manager and leads daily operations within a specialized mental health residential unit, promoting Positive Human Development.
Responsibilities include youth case management, JJIS case plans, MDT facilitation, and comprehensive documentation for court proceedings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science or related field.
- Three years of experience observing, evaluating, and recording behavior in juvenile justice, treatment, or related settings; or
- An associate degree with one year of relevant juvenile justice experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide case management services for youth assigned to the living unit.
- Assist the Living Unit Manager in developing and implementing procedures for staff engagement and youth interaction.
- Prepare accurate technical documentation for court hearings and other legal proceedings, and coordinate MDT meetings.
