Qualifications

• You must be 21 years of age.
• Six (6) months experience observing, evaluating, developing, or understanding of human performance, relations and interactions.
• A Certificate or Associate degree from an accredited school in a behavioral science, education, criminal justice, or related degree.
• Six (6) months of Prior military experience, law enforcement or corrections experience.

Responsibilities

• Care, control, safety and security of youth in a 24/7 facility.
• Supervise youth with emphasis on safety, personal growth, teamwork and the program’s eight core components.
• Monitoring and reporting the behavior of cadets during daily activities, offsite community projects, academic instruction, meals and extracurricular activities.
• Work effectively with youth who may have social, economic, emotional, or behavioral challenges. Assist youth in developing short- and long-term goals, overcoming obstacles, conflict resolution and developing life skills.
• Plans, leads and participates in daily physical fitness activities which includes running and calling cadence.
• Provides classroom instruction on a variety of topics related to program standards and character development.
