Job summary

The State of Hawaii, Department of Defense, Youth Challenge Academy (YCA) seeks a Recruiter to identify, screen, and recruit at-promise youth aged 16–18 for a voluntary residential program. The role involves traveling for outreach, interviewing applicants and parents, and helping cadets transition back into society.

Under an RPM Coordinator, you may mentor, manage cases, and coordinate residential staff to support post-residential plans.

Qualifications

• Experience working with at-promise youth or recruitment.
• Strong interpersonal communication, crisis management, and ability to work under high-stress conditions.
• Experience supervising personnel.

Responsibilities

• Identify, screen, and recruit at-promise youth (16–18) for a voluntary residential program.
• Travel to conduct outreach, interview applicants/parents, and facilitate cadet transitions into and out of the program.
• Assist in mentoring, case management, and coordinating the residential staff to support post-residential action plans.
• May work a flex schedule including day, evening, weekend, night, and holiday hours.
