Job summary

Oregon Youth Authority is seeking qualified candidates for Group Life Coordinator 2 (GLC2) at Camp Tillamook Youth Transitional Facility in Tillamook, Oregon. The role ensures a safe, secure environment for youth and staff, supervising daily activities and transporting youth for programming as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months of relevant experience or an associate/certificate in a related field, and the ability to meet PAT and physical requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• Six months full-time experience observing, evaluating, developing, and monitoring human behavior.
• Certificate or associate degree in a behavioral science, education, criminal justice, or related field.
• Under-fill pathway: GLC1 qualified candidates may be considered for GLC2.
• Special qualifications: 21+ and valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Physical Abilities Test (PAT) is required.

Responsibilities

• Coaching, confronting, and correcting youth behavior as necessary.
• Observing, documenting youth behavior, participation in programs.
• Monitoring youth for health and safety risks, including suicide prevention.
• Conducting security inspections and searches of youth living units and youth.
• Administering medication to youth under indirect supervision and coordinating with medical staff.
