Job summary

The Oregon Youth Challenge Program, operated by the State of Oregon Military Department, seeks a Group Life Coordinator 2 to lead a youth program in Bend. This full-time role emphasizes safety, mentorship, and life-skill development within a structured military environment.

Qualifications

• You must be 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED or higher.
• Six months experience observing, evaluating, or understanding human performance and interactions.
• Certificate or Associate degree in behavioral science, education, criminal justice, or related field.
• Six months of prior military, law enforcement, or corrections experience.
• Must pass a physical fitness standard.

Responsibilities

• Care, control, safety and security of youth in a 24/7 facility.
• Supervise youth with emphasis on safety, growth, teamwork and eight core components.
• Monitor and report youth behavior during activities, meals and academics.
• Assist youth in developing short- and long-term goals and life skills.
• Plan and lead daily physical fitness and cadence.
• Provide classroom instruction related to program standards and character development.
