Job summary

Urban Strategies in San Benito, Texas, is seeking a Youth Care Worker 1st Shift for the Refugio Unaccompanied Children Shelter program. You will engage unaccompanied children, support day-to-day activities, and align with each child’s care plan to promote development.

Ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), with a High School Diploma or GED, at least 12 months of experience with youth, and ability to coordinate with staff while maintaining safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 12 months of experience working with young people.
• A driver’s license and knowledge of MS Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe home for unaccompanied children.
• Provide supervision of children to satisfy ratio requirements.
• Provide development opportunities and engage children in educational and social activities.
• Support adherence to the case plan and work with caseworkers and supervisors.
