Job summary

Dynamic Service Solutions seeks a Youth Care Worker (Bilingual) for the 3rd shift in Houston, TX. You will supervise youth in our residential program, maintain a safe environment, and document progress in line with Texas DFPS/ORR standards.

Fluency in English and Spanish is required. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with at least one year of experience with juveniles; a valid driver's license is preferred. The role involves flexible hours, weekends, and travel for trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in human services preferred but not required.
• At least one year of experience with juveniles preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record are preferred.
• Must be 21 years old or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and oversight of youth in care during assigned work schedule.
• Interact with youth to build rapport and serve as a role model, while ensuring a safe, secure, and caring environment.
• Assist in teaching daily life skills, in accordance with youth’s treatment plan, recommendations, and restrictions.
• Apply Crisis Prevention Intervention techniques to deescalate and stabilize the youth when necessary.
• Provide documentation of observable behaviors; interventions; daily progress notes; and other required information as required by supervisor and/or senior management.
• Remain positive and respectful, mindful of cultural differences, with the ability to assist during any department activities.
• Assist with indoor and outdoor recreational activities and occasional court, medical, and discharge appointments.
• Assist with intake process to include the distribution of personal items, meals, and clothing.
