Job summary

Upbring in McAllen, TX seeks a Youth Care Worker to provide direct care and supervision for Unaccompanied Children, ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment and compliance with ORR licensing standards.

The role supports intake, daily living activities, crisis intervention, and documentation, with emphasis on teamwork and child welfare best practices. The position requires bilingual English/Spanish communication and willingness to work 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish based on service area.
• Strong conflict resolution and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform intake services for incoming UC, including paperwork and orientation.
• Provide basic needs (meals, clothing, hygiene) and supervise daily routines.
• Supervise UC and enforce behavior limits per treatment plans and ORR standards.
• Document interactions and interventions in progress notes and behavior plans.
• Assist UC with social skills, daily living tasks, and transportation to activities.
