Job summary

The National Youth Advocate Program is hiring Youth Care Workers in Chicago, IL to guide and support at-risk youth. You will build trust, support goal achievement, and provide a warm, safe environment within the program framework.

Responsibilities include active youth engagement, documentation, and collaboration with the Out of School Coordinator to ensure smooth operations and positive outcomes for participants. Strong communication and cultural sensitivity are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, empathy and ability to provide emotional support to minors.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• Bilingual English/Spanish fluency.

Responsibilities

• Interact with youth to develop trusting, supportive relationships and assist in achieving goals.
• Provide youth with leadership in the program and a warm, safe environment.
• Perform program planning, training, and documentation as required.
• Coordinate with Out of School Coordinator on issues and program needs.
• Maintain positive attitude toward youth, families, and staff.
