Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) is seeking compassionate Youth Care Workers to guide, support, and empower young people in Cincinnati. Join our team to help build brighter futures through advocacy, mentorship, and collaborative goal setting.

You will work closely with youth and families, maintain a warm, safe environment, and participate in ongoing trainings. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with minors.
• Patience, empathy and ability to provide emotional support to youths.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
• Fluent in English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Interact with youth to develop trusting, supportive relationships and help achieve goals.
• Provide youth leadership during the program and maintain a warm, safe atmosphere.
• Complete all required trainings and timely documentation.
• Report problems to the Out of School Coordinator.
• Prepare program activities and room setups.
• Maintain a positive attitude toward youth, families, and staff.
