Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program in East Chicago, IN seeks a Youth Care Worker to guide and empower youth, delivering advocacy and supportive services within the program.

Responsibilities include building trusting relationships, providing a safe environment, and ensuring timely documentation and trainings. A High School diploma and a valid driver’s license are required; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with minors.
• Bilingual English/Spanish fluency preferred.
• Patience, empathy, and ability to provide emotional support.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Interact with youth to develop trusting, supportive relationships and assist in achieving goals.
• Provide leadership and a warm, safe atmosphere for youth in the program.
• Complete trainings and required documentation on time.
• Maintain positive relationships with youth, families, and staff.
• Travel as program demands and assist with program setup and materials.
