Job summary

Los Angeles LGBT Center is seeking a Supervisor, Care Coordination to lead case management across Youth Center, Interim Housing, and PSHP programs in Los Angeles. You will supervise staff, develop individualized care plans, and ensure contract compliance while supporting LGBTQ+ youth in a safe, affirming environment.

You will oversee program operations, collaborate with partner agencies, and drive reporting to funders. Flexibility for evenings/weekends and a commitment to diversity are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of or experience with LGBTQ+ community and issues relevant to LGBTQ+ people
• Passion for the Center’s work to improve LGBTQ+ lives
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in social services, preferably with youth homelessness
• Understanding of issues affecting LGBTQ+ children, youth, and families in systems of care
• Minimum 3 years of direct supervisory experience in social services or related field
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in child development, social work or related field; master’s preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Evenings/weekends on-call and crisis availability
• Active listening, family/group processing, and relationship-building with youth and families
• Strong written/verbal communication, organizational, interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Word/Excel/MS Teams/Outlook and similar software
• Valid California Driver License and reliable transportation
• Demonstrated leadership to oversee projects
• Ability to pass fingerprint/background checks
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment

Responsibilities

• Supervise the case management team and related supportive services
• Oversee program operations ensuring policy alignment
• Maintain systems for operational efficiency including space and vehicle coordination
• Ensure LGBTQ+ affirming, strengths-based youth interventions
• Recruit, train, supervise, schedule case management staff
• Coordinate with county agencies to support youth
• Prepare funder and leadership reports (monthly/quarterly/annual)
• Lead procurement and distribution of harm reduction materials
• Perform other duties as assigned
