Job summary

Safe Place for Youth in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Case Management Supervisor, Access Center, to oversee daily case management operations and supervise the Member Services team, including Case Managers, Problem Solving Specialists, and Housing Navigators. This role ensures adherence to state and federal regulations and coordinates with housing authorities, DCFS, DMH, LAHSA and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or related field OR comparable experience.
• 3-4 years’ of case management or related experience working with unhoused and at-risk TAY is required.
• 1-2 years of experience supervising direct service staff.
• Knowledge of LA-based housing resources, partners, and programs preferred.
• Best practice models including: Housing First, Positive Youth Development, Authentic Youth Engagement, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed Care, Critical Time Intervention.
• Self-Starter with ability to build rapport and trust with members, partners, volunteers, and staff.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities.
• Must have reliable transportation and California driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and supervise case management workflows in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support day-to-day operations and programming of the Access Center, including site monitoring.
• Supervise direct service staff in case management, housing navigation and problem solving.
• Administer problem solving funds and financial assistance with Access Center Manager.
• Review case management notes and service plans for high-quality care.
• Monitor data collection, monthly reports and program administration duties.
• Ensure program outcomes are met and improvement strategies are embedded.
• Develop a high-performing department culture and motivate staff to meet goals.
• Set goals, assign work, and address employees’ needs and resources.
• Provide supervision to staff and facilitate case assignments and care coordination.
• Act as preceptor for MSW/MFT interns and provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Engage with external agencies and community groups to advocate for youth.
