Job summary

Owen Health Care Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Individual Support Worker to assist behavioral therapists in delivering tailored programs for children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

You will travel to clients' homes in Bergen County, implementing service plans, providing behavioral interventions, and documenting progress. You will also develop engaging activities to support emotional and social growth, ensure safety, and collaborate with families and professionals

Qualifications

Must possess a college degree with one year of experience or a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of three years of supervised experience in implementing positive behavior support plans and teaching ADL/Instrumental skills to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships with children, adolescents, families, and professionals.
Ability to work independently while following established protocols and guidelines in implementing behavioral therapy programs.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children and adolescents in a nurturing manner are highly valued.

Responsibilities

Assist behavioral therapists to create effective behavioral therapy programs tailored to children and adolescents.
Implement individualized service plans and behavioral interventions in home and community settings.
Monitor and document observations of youth behavior and adjust daily activities as needed to meet therapeutic goals.
Develop engaging recreational activities to support emotional and social growth while maintaining a safe, clean environment.
