Job summary

Owen Health Care Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Individual Support Worker to help children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Bergen County, NJ.

You will join a client-focused team and travel to homes to implement programs and document progress, while building strong family and professional relationships. Candidates should have a college degree with relevant experience or a high school diploma with substantial supervised experience.

Qualifications

• College degree with 1 year of experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 3 years supervised experience in behavior support and teaching ADL/Instrumental skills.
• Experience implementing positive behavior support plans for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently within established protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist behavioral therapists to create and implement behavioral therapy programs in home and community settings.
• Monitor and document observations of youth behavior; modify activities to meet therapeutic goals.
• Develop engaging recreational activities to support emotional and social growth while maintaining a clean, safe environment.
