Copper Hills Youth Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support adolescent residents in a 24/7 secure treatment setting. You will supervise youth, document behaviors, and help students meet daily goals while ensuring safety and respectful conduct. The role involves crisis intervention, group facilitation, and enforcing consistent consequences to promote positive change.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 18 years old.
• Excellent Verbal Communication Skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and in high stress environments.
• Strong problem solving and conflict management abilities.
• Reliable attendance and background check clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive role model and supervise youth.
• Document behaviors and monitor progress toward daily goals (hygiene, activities, therapy).
• Intervene during crises using verbal de-escalation and safety techniques.
• Facilitate group interactions and reinforce appropriate behavior with consequences.
