Universal Health Services, Inc. ( Copper Hills Youth Center ) in West Jordan, UT seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to model positive behavior and supervise adolescents. You will document behaviors, support daily goals, and assist in therapy meetings.

You will intervene during crises with verbal de-escalation and safety techniques, helping maintain a therapeutic environment while supporting youth toward positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 18 years old.
• Excellent Verbal Communication Skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and in high-stress environments.
• Effective problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage conflicts.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Pass a thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive role model while providing close supervision and documenting behaviors.
• Ensure students are meeting defined daily goals including hygiene, unit activities, education & therapy meetings.
• Intervene during student crises using verbal de-escalation skills and safety techniques.
• Facilitate group interactions and ensure students are behaving according to standards.
• Educate students on appropriate behavior and possible consequences, and enact consequences if needed.
