Copper Hills Youth Center, a 24/7 residential treatment facility for adolescents, seeks Behavioral Health Technicians to supervise and mentor students, document behaviors, and support treatment goals. The role requires teamwork, crisis intervention, and the ability to maintain safety and discipline in daily activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 18 years old.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and in high-stress environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage conflict effectively.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Must pass a thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive role model for youth and provide close supervision.
• Document behaviors and ensure daily goals are met (hygiene, activities, education, therapy).
• Intervene during student crises using verbal de-escalation and safety techniques.
• Facilitate group interactions and maintain student behavioral standards.
• Educate students on appropriate behavior and consequences, enforcing as needed.
