Job summary

BBH Burrell Behavioral Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician I (Youth Crisis Center) in Springfield, MO. Part-time role providing direct care, monitoring clients, and supporting recovery in a compassionate setting.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily activities, documenting behavior, assisting with personal care, and coordinating with the treatment team. Must have high school diploma and relevant experience; CPR/First Aid and licensure steps may apply. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent and two years of responsible employment.
• Experience in Human Services or a related field is preferred.
• For St. Louis County Programs: Bachelor's Degree, or MAADC I or II.
• For Residential Care Facility: Level 1 Med Aid (LIMA) credential and insulin certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight and support to clients, ensuring safety and well-being throughout daily activities.
• Monitor vital signs and health indicators, elevating to medical intervention when necessary.
• Facilitate group education and structured activities to promote engagement and recovery.
• Document and report exceptional behaviors or concerns related to clients.
• Assist with personal care needs including grooming, bathing, and dressing when required.
• Maintain records of medication administration and supervise self-administration when applicable.
• Participate as a team member to identify clients' strengths and needs.
• Ensure compliance with policies and documentation protocols.
• Provide transportation to appointments as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as requested.
