Burrell Behavioral Health in Springfield, MO, seeks a Behavioral Health Technician I to provide direct care and support to clients in a safe, therapeutic setting. You will monitor health indicators, respond to crises, and help sustain daily routines while documenting concerns.

You will participate in education activities, assist with personal care, and coordinate with the treatment team to identify client needs.

Qualifications

• Observed empathy and strong communication skills essential for direct client interactions.
• Ability to monitor and respond to health indicators and crises.
• Experience in human services or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight and support to clients, ensuring safety during daily activities.
• Monitor vital signs and health indicators, escalate when medical intervention is needed.
• Facilitate group education and structured activities for client recovery.
• Document and report exceptional behaviors or concerns.
• Assist clients with personal care needs including grooming, bathing, and dressing.
• Maintain records of medication administration and monitor self-administration.
• Participate as a team member to identify client strengths and needs.
• Ensure compliance with policies, including medication storage and documentation.
• Provide transportation to appointments as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
