Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $17.00 - $20.00 Hourly

POSITION: Youth Behavioral Health Specialist

DEPARTMENT: Residential (Ozanam Campus)

Starting Salary: $17.00 - $20.00 Hourly (Starting salary depends on education and experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES: Cornerstones of Care is seeking caring team members to help youth heal from trauma while in our 24/7 residential program located in south KCMO. Relationships are key to healing and our Youth Behavioral Health Specialists make the difference for our youth through their daily interactions. The Youth Behavioral Health Specialist model strong, positive relationships with youth while leading therapeutic activities and groups, teaching daily living skills, ensuring safety, and managing behaviors. As part of the trauma-informed treatment team, Youth Behavioral Health Specialists act as a coach, mentor, and role model to youth by through their interactions/activities and reinforcing treatment plans.

QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a high school diploma. The preferred candidate will also have two years' experience working with children. Must be at least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver's license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
