Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of King County seeks an Athletic Director to lead and grow our youth athletics programs. You will manage staff and volunteers, develop partnerships with schools and communities, and oversee seasonal sports and events to deliver high-quality programming.

You will partner with Operations to meet goals, supervise program staff, ensure safety, and uphold BGCKC values in every activity. Must be able to work nights/weekends and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in related field from an accredited college or university.
• 2 years of experience leading youth athletics programming may substitute for education requirements.
• Three years management experience preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certifications, must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Experience working with and collaborating with external agencies preferred.
• Experience hiring, training and supervising staff preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage and ensure an Outcome-Driven Club Experience for youth and families.
• Develop positive relationships with school administrators, coaches and parents for all programs.
• Lead seasonal programs such as Football, Tae Kwon Do, Basketball, Wrestling, T-Ball, Summer Camps, etc.
• Hire, train, oversee and develop staff and volunteers.
• Coordinate with Marketing to advertise programs and recruit participants.
• Facilitate program evaluations and club meetings.
• Provide reports to leadership and participate in county-wide program meetings and events.
