Job summary

Acacia Network is seeking a Temp, Full-Time Group Leader for the After-School Program, Monday to Friday, 2pm–6pm, serving youth ages 5–13. You will design and implement educational and recreational activities, supervise homework, and maintain program compliance to support student development and well-being.

You will collaborate with families, teachers, and staff, participate in staff events, and track attendance and behavior.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; some college preferred.
• Analytical, Communication and Organizational skills.
• 2 years minimum of experience working with youth preferred.
• Computer literate, including experience with Microsoft Office, local area networks and the Internet.

Responsibilities

• Understand and enforce after-school program expectations, policies, and protocols.
• Design and implement educational and recreational activities.
• Actively participate in program-wide or division-wide activities
• Facilitate the adherence to the afterschool schedule.
• Supervise homework and other in-class activities.
• Communicate with Program Coordinator about schedule modifications or important issues.
• Demonstrate appropriate communication with families, teachers, staff, and children.
• Attend regular staff meetings and Professional Development training.
• Track attendance, performance, and behavior through accurate record keeping.
• Report regularly to the Director of After-School Services and other program directors.
• Collaborate with after-school staff at other sites.
• Organize special events as necessary.
• Assist individual students with homework as time permits.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
