Job summary

Abode Communities is seeking a Program Leader to assist the Resident Services Coordinator with the on-site after-school program and related youth initiatives. You will support College Awareness and computer lab resources, plus summer programs for ages 5-17, helping residents access resources and maintain stable housing.

The role emphasizes teamwork with residents and staff, data entry and tracking program activities to improve outcomes for families in our housing communities.

Qualifications

• Relational and interpersonal skills with a focus on working with low-income residents.
• Ability to work independently and under supervision to meet goals.
• Cultural sensitivity and effective communication in a diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide homework assistance and tutoring for youth in the after-school program.
• Promote reading and math improvement to raise academic achievement.
• Be a positive role model, mentor and leader for residents and youth.
• Maintain open communication with parents and Abode Communities staff.
• Keep records of activities and attendance and report findings.
• Support program activities and organize special youth projects.
