Job summary

LEAP is seeking dynamic Group Leaders to work with Elementary to High School youth in afterschool, summer programs and special projects. You’ll assist in delivering high-quality, academically aligned activities in arts, sports, STEM and more, while maintaining safety and supportive supervision.

You will help prepare materials, facilitate groups, and follow lesson plans, contributing to a positive, inclusive environment and strong teamwork with staff and partners.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with children/youth in a professional setting.
• Ability to form and maintain positive, professional relationships with children, youth, families and other stakeholders.
• Excellent timeliness, attendance and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage program participants to foster positive youth development.
• Prepare materials and space for various age-appropriate activities.
• Assist with planning, development, and implementation of activities & events.
• Support classroom management and promote a welcoming, inclusive environment.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required, including after hours when needed.
