arc After School and Experiential Education seeks an Assistant Site Coordinator for Equitas Academy in Los Angeles, CA. You will support the Site Coordinator, ensure student safety, and help run enrichment activities after school.

Responsibilities include attendance tracking, club creation, and coordination of indoor/outdoor activities while building leadership skills for career growth within Arc. Bilingual English-Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities.
• Good communication with kids and parents.
• TB test and Live Scan background check.
• English-Spanish bilingual skills stand out.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Coordinator by acting as the second point of contact for parents and administrators.
• Oversee the safety and well-being of students during after-school activities.
• Establish and enforce rules and expectations to promote positive behavior.
• Coordinate, manage, and lead indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
• Attend trainings or staff meetings to stay updated on best practices in childcare, safety, and program management.
• Address challenging behavior constructively, involving supervisors or parents if necessary.
• Facilitate sign-up procedures to ensure accurate attendance tracking.
• Create unique clubs for students (career readiness, cooking, anime, dance).
• Organize and lead activities including homework help, games, arts and crafts, educational projects.
