Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is seeking a part-time Child Activity Center Leader to provide nurturing supervision and developmentally appropriate activities for children in the Burbank program. Qualifications

• Completed semester units in child development, human services, or related fields.
• Experience working with children in a group setting preferred.
• Ability to develop positive relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
• First Aid, AED, and CPR certifications current; child abuse prevention training required before start date.

Responsibilities

• Nurture children through purposeful programming focused on achievement and belonging.
• Maintain close visual supervision and organize environment by age and developmental needs.
• Use positive, constructive discipline and redirection to manage behavior.
• Support inclusion and ADA compliance where appropriate.
• Plan activities that are culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate; uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
