Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is seeking a Child Activity Center Leader to nurture children, supervise activities, and deliver developmentally appropriate programming. You will build positive relationships with children and families and support staff through collaborative planning.

The role emphasizes inclusive practices, safety, and adherence to YMCA policies. You will engage parents and volunteers and participate in trainings to strengthen the program and achieve outcomes for youth

Qualifications

• Age 16+ (or 18+ per CAC) required.
• ECE/CD units completed or in progress preferred.
• Experience with children in group settings preferred.
• Ability to plan age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate activities.
• Experience with diverse populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Nurture children through purposeful programming.
• Maintain close supervision and safe environment.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities.
• Communicate with parents/caregivers and involve them as volunteers.
• Follow YMCA safety, reporting, and ADA policies.
