Job summary

Northern Rivers Family of Services in Albany, NY is seeking a Program Assistant to support the Youth Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program from intake through discharge. You will work primarily onsite and report to the Program Director, coordinating referrals, admissions, and daily program operations.

Key duties include developing staff safety monitoring, managing medical records, handling monthly billing, and coordinating appointments with psychiatrists.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate's degree and three years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and track staff safety and monitoring system.
• Manage medical records and support daily staff communication.
• Facilitate monthly billing reporting and insurance eligibility.
• Coordinate referral, intake, treatment and discharge processes for the Youth ACT program.
• Schedule Psychiatrist/Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner appointments.
• Triage and manage the ACT main phone line.
• Maintaining office supply inventory and agency vehicle upkeep.
• Welcome participants and monitor waiting area.
• Audit documentation and communicate results to staff.

Education
