Job summary

The Child Center of NY seeks a dedicated Clinical Support Staff member to join our Youth ACT team, delivering intensive, community-based services to youth with serious emotional disturbance and their families. You will work under licensed clinicians to engage clients in treatment, build skills, and connect families with essential resources in home and community settings.

Responsibilities include direct support, skill-building, resource navigation, transportation assistance, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field.
• Experience with children, adolescents, and families in behavioral health, youth development, or social services.
• Strong communication, engagement, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to provide services in the community, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to use public transportation for client visits.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support services to youth and families in home and community settings.
• Assist clients with skill development in daily living, social interaction, coping strategies, and problem-solving.
• Support youth and families in accessing and navigating community resources, including educational, vocational, medical, and social services.
• Provide transportation assistance for clients and families, as needed, to facilitate access to services and appointments.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary ACT team to coordinate care and reinforce treatment goals.
• Participate in daily team meetings and case reviews to monitor client progress and identify next steps.
• Assist in crisis response and provide de-escalation support in collaboration with licensed team members.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided in the agency's EHR.
• Engage families in treatment planning, encouraging participation and shared decision-making.
• Participate in outreach and engagement activities to promote client involvement in care.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
