Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee is seeking a part-time Youth Education Professional to implement activities within the Academic Success program area. The role focuses on guiding members, promoting participation, and collaborating with the leadership team.

The position supports Power Hour and Moby Max implementations and may involve organization-wide events and professional development. Strong communication and safety supervision are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree, or Certification preferred, or working toward degree in related field.
• Knowledge of computers at beginning level of Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
• Must pass a background check, fingerprint, and physical examination
• Knowledge of youth development
• 1 to 2 years of experience working with children and/or youth
• CPR and First Aid Certifications

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of the Academic Success Outcome, including Power Hour & Moby Max Implementation.
• Assume the role & responsibilities of Youth Development Staff as needed.
• Promote and stimulate program participation.
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• May be asked to participate in organization wide events in the Club.
• May participate in special programs and/or events.
• Participate in required professional development & training.
• Collaborate with leadership team as required
