Job summary

Boys & Girls Club of Dayton is seeking a dedicated staff member to assist the Success Coach Education Coordinator and Club Director in implementing programs for members, with emphasis on Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Character and Good Leadership, and Workforce Readiness.

You will help deliver instruction, run events, maintain records, and support positive relationships with youth while working with a team in a safe, structured environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with a team.
• An understanding of the needs and interests of young people.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively with technology.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to interact with young people in a positive way, particularly as it relates to behavior issues.
• Maintain a positive, friendly and cooperative attitude at the worksite.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stimulate interest in the program through skill instruction, special events, tournaments, contests, and member recogni7on.
• Maintain proper records as needed for programming (attendance, meal counts, etc.).
• Provide individual guidance and establish relationships with members that are conducive to their growth and development.
• Maintain relative program areas in a clean, orderly and safe working condition.
• Participate in professional development training as required.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Success Coach, or in the absence of the Success Coach.
• Work closely with Club Director on a professional development plan.
