Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley is seeking a Program Director to oversee out-of-school activities and ensure youth achieve academic success, healthy lifestyles, and strong character. You will work with the Executive/Club Director to manage program goals, safety, and community partnerships.

The role emphasizes mentoring at-risk youth, grant management, and staff training, with responsibilities extending to tours, reporting, and operational administration at the Club level.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of experience with youth and/or grant management preferred.
• Must pass local, state, and national background checks.
• CPR Certification required (post-hire) by Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain program goals.
• Continuously evaluate and modify programs to meet youth needs.
• Document youth attendance, engagement, achievements, and concerns with membership tracking.
• Complete grant reports and conduct pre/post surveys; document data.
• Monitor safety of staff and youth; ensure staff and member safety.
• Offer one-on-one mentoring to at-risk youth; serve as a role model.
• Assist in interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
• Liaise with youth, parents/guardians, schools, and community partners.
