Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Chiller Subject Matter Expert to bridge Engineering, Product Development, Learning and Development, and the Field teams. You will leverage deep York chiller expertise to ensure knowledge is accurate and accessible across the organization.

You will partner with design and product support engineers to stay at the leading edge of product design and performance, and with L&D to shape learning solutions for field readiness.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years’ hands-on York chiller experience across multiple platforms.
• Extensive chiller service, engineering, or product support background.
• Proven ability to translate complex tech for diverse audiences.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration across engineering, field, and L&D.
• Effective mentoring of technicians and trainers.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or HVAC/R (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Bridge Engineering, Product Development, L&D and field operations to align learning with product changes.
• Translate technical concepts into field-ready training content for mechanics and leaders.
• Collaborate with design reviews and product introductions, incorporating field feedback.
• Mentor chiller mechanics and technical trainers to build capability.
• Develop learning materials, job aids, troubleshooting trees and quick references.
