Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Chiller Subject Matter Expert to bridge Engineering, Product Development and Field operations. You will ensure accurate, accessible technical knowledge across the organization and partner with engineering to stay at the leading edge of product design and performance.

A strong background in York chillers and learning delivery is essential. You will mentor technicians, support learning material development, and contribute to competency frameworks and training programs

Qualifications

Ten+ years of hands-on experience with York chillers (centrifugal, screw, air-cooled, absorption)
Experience in chiller service, engineering, or product support (10+ years)
Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts for varied audiences
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, HVAC/R Tech, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

Serve as Learning & Development SME for York chiller products.
Bridge Engineering, Product Development, and Field operations to translate knowledge into field-ready training.
Collaborate with product engineering on design changes and new product introductions.
Develop and validate technical training content with cross‑functional teams.
Mentor chiller mechanics and technicians through formal and informal coaching.
Create learning materials, job aids, and troubleshooting trees for field use.
